The Iron Grays (IG) is a group of reenactors that promote devoted and authentic portrayals of Southern soldiers during the American Civil War.

This Web site is mainly devoted to the happenings of the IG, but it will warehouse research materials and resources for Iron Grays members or anyone else who has an interest studying the Civil War-era South.

To the left are the main areas of the IG site:

  • Reenacting has information and requirements about Iron Grays organization, as well as information on reenacting in general and reenacting craft
  • Research contains research and resources on the represented Iron Grays regiments and military organizations, important people, and particulars about the region.
  • Iron Grays Forums is the forum area for the IG. Members and visitors can come in and voice their ideas, concerns and opinions here.
  • FAQ and Contact Information leads to the right people to talk to, as well as questions that are commonly asked in the IG forums or to the Web master.
