Just finished a great book called Footprint of a Regiment, memoirs of the 1st Georgia Regulars. It is written by William andrews who was first sergant of company M, 1st GA. Regulars.

If you are like me, you are familiar with the campaigns and battles of the civil war. but our knowledge is usually of the overview variety. Books like this give you a micro view of what one man saw during those times. I enjoy that different perspective.

A very good read for history buffs like you boys, I highly recommend it. Some of the battles 1st Ga. was in, 7 Days, Antietam, Fredicksburg, Secssionville, Oulustee, Aversboro and Bentonville.
